Current Opportunities for Involvement

There are currently many opportunities to get involved in improving how mental health services are delivered. Would you like to know what you can get involved with? Find out....

 

Klacksun Meetings

 

A monthly forum where you can meet other people, find out what is going on and discuss things relating to mental health services.

 

Newsletter Editorial Group

 

Meets twice a month to research, write and plan the quarterly newsletter. Writing, photography, typing or desktop publishing skills would be useful.

 

Administration


General office administration tasks: typing; filing; photocopying. Some specific skills would be useful but support can be provided.

 

Website Updating

 

Keeping the website up to date; collating information from views pages; monitoring forum. You need an interest in websites. IT skills would be useful but specific training will be provided.

 

Service User Involvement Group with University of Stirling, Department of Social Work

 

Meet with university lecturers on a regular basis to plan how and when people who use services can be involved in the recruitment and training of social workers.

 

Values Based Practice Training with NHS Forth Valley

 

An opportunity to be involved in the training and development of mental health nurses and staff working in Forth Valley.

 

Raising Awareness Group with Clackmannanshire Integrated Mental Health Services and SAMH

 

The group meets regularly and is currently pulling together a team to deliver mental health awareness sessions to S4 pupils in the three local high schools. The group are also preparing for involvement in a working lunch session with local employers, again, with the purpose of raising awareness and providing information on help and support for employees with mental health concerns.
