The Phoenix Centre, Carsebridge Court, Alloa

A local authority based service offering therapeutic group work and individual support to individuals with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The philosophy is to provide a non-clinical approach in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The Phoenix Centre provides one to one support and courses eg: Anxiety Management; Self-Esteem/Confidence Building; Depression Management; Assertiveness Skills and, the Men’s Health and Wellbeing Group.

The Phoenix Centre are also taking a preventative approach to mental health by offering community based Stress Control Groups (stress management, relaxation, self esteem, assertiveness). Sessions will include advice on, as well as access to, practical assistance such as benefit, childcare and debt advice. Wellbeing will be viewed holistically, incorporating physical, mental and social elements.

The Centre also supports Ochil Carers, a monthly support group for carers/relatives /friends of individuals with mental health problems.

A self help group for Men with a history of depression/anxiety, also meets weekly at the Phoenix Centre. Further details can be obtained by contacting the Phoenix Centre.
